Founded in 2018 by Grace E. Hannah, the house of Goutarae was birthed in Canada after working in the fashion industry for over half a decade and from an in depth interest of the arts and natural fabrics. The founder's experience and passion for the industry was one that runs within her bloodline with her father have owned and sold a luxury leather goods line all over Western Europe. The luxury fashion house comes from generations of visionary fabric entrepreneurs. Learning about expertise craftsmanship within the luxury leather goods business in Europe throughout her childhood, inspired the Goutarae founder to officially debut her own brand to the world in 2019. 

 

The quiet luxury brand has since then been respected within the fashion community and has been known to appeal to a discerning clientele who value quality and ethical artisanal work practices. As a result, Goutarae has been worn by thousands of women around the globe who value timeless simplistic polished ensembles. In 2021, Vanity Fair recognized the brand as one of the fresh designer brands for luxury consumers to look out for.
